Namaste

Welcome to The Yoga Place – my name is Karen.

The Yoga Place is a flexible yoga resource – I run regular public classes across Liverpool and Wirral, alongside weekend yoga retreats and workshops and pop-up sessions for corporate events and the community. On my web site you’ll also find a glossary of yoga terms, and some of my favourite links about yoga and wellbeing.

Yoga’s become increasingly popular over the last few years – more and more people understand its relevance to modern life: that it’s good for wellbeing and relieving stress, alongside helping alleviate a number of physical conditions. Some people have practised before, some are keen beginners and some are referred by doctors and other health professionals – whatever your experience so far, it’s suitable for everyone, from beginner to pro –you work to a level you’re comfortable with.

I’ve been living and breathing yoga for over 20 years. The focus of my yoga teaching is working with each individual to help you realise and enjoy your 'being' and potential through yoga practice.

Everyone can enjoy and benefit from yoga – regardless of age, ability, flexibility or health. I currently teach students aged between 16 and 82 years!

I fuse Hatha yoga with elements of Sivananda and Tibetan yoga, asana practice with pranayama (breath work), meditation and relaxation, interweaving yoga philosophy into classes in a way that’s fun and thought provoking. Come and join us on your own yoga journey…
